Besides developing exhibitionconcepts TriJaXa wants to offer promising artists a ‘stage’ not only by scouting them for exhibitions or exhibition concepts but also to introduce them on our Website to a wider public. The first artist TriJaXa supports in this way is:

Pacharaporn Baispouwan

We introduce Thai Artist Pacharaporn Baispouwan, better known as Jeentee. An artist all her life, winning her first award at age 18 in 2001, Jeentee has developed her style in an organic way, evolving to be more technical and detailled. Continuously exploring and searching for angles that makes her work prosper in a natural way.

A major inspiration for her work is the Buddhist philosophy that states that you change everyday without noticing it. Slowly we decay, this is nature. The soul can reincarnate, the body dies. This is a natural cycle: you breath in, you breath out and eventually you die. This philosophy is seen in her work where little figures form a bigger picture together and than fall apart again. It is the structure of human life where we meet each other and fall apart.

The central concept of Jeentee is that you can not control the mind, so don’t try to control it, just follow it. ’Painting is a matter of concrete that reflects the abstract story as the change of all things (…) This is a reminder of living in the present.’

Her work mainly consists of ink and water: by adding water to the ink the painting changes suddenly and spontaneously. Just like life changes when things are added. Other techniques Jeentee uses are acryl, pencil, tempera, local herbs and the application of smoke from candles to form a deepening effect.

Jeentee lives in Samut Prakan, close to Thailand’s capital Bangkok, together with her two children and husband, who is a sculpturer. She is the daughter of a grocery family.
